Loki is an estimated four year old Australian shepherd mix. He was originally brought into rescue several months ago when his owner was being evicted from the family ranch. Loki is actually believed to be Kyla’s brother. Kyla is also in our program. Loki is a pretty rambunctious and strong young guy. He is probably around 50 pounds.

He was adopted out by our rescue but Loki was returned as he was just too much for the older and small statured owners. He pulls very strongly on walks and can be reactive towards other dogs and cats that he encounters. Without aides such as a gentle leader he can pull over an inattentive walker. With those that he knows he can be a very sweet boy and he has been good with dogs that he has been properly introduced to and lives with. We would probably not recommend a cat family. We think he would be good with older kids. He can be a bit of a barker in the yard if not corrected.
Loki has no known health issues, is neutered, microchipped, and current on shots.

Upon actually seeing him not so sure about that but he is a sweet guy worthy of love. He is currently estimated to be about seven years old. He is pretty small at about 20 pounds. Buster is settling in well with his current foster family and is a pleasant guy. He has gotten along fine with the other household dogs but seems to be a little unnerved at a rambunctious collie puppy. As a result, we think he would do best in a household without other dogs or dogs that are a little more mellow. We think he would be fine with cats. We think he would be fine with all but the smallest children. He does not seem to be a very active dog. We think he will do well in most homes.
Buster has been neutered while in rescue and is scheduled to have a dental. He has a noticeable "skin tag" that will be removed during the dental. While in the shelter Buster was observed to have some vision impairment and this was confirmed by an eye specialist. He does have some cataracts but the specialist indicates that she does not think that is the cause of the impairment but rather a retinal issue and probably degenerative. So, he can see relatively well currently and gets around fine in the house but it quite possibly can get worse. He does not seem to be in pain and has been adjusting quite well to his vision loss. Also, as is characteristic of most of the unneutered dogs that we take in, Buster was prone to marking but this has noticeably decreased since the neuter.
