Coopers is a handsome all white dog who was picked up as a stray, being severely emaciated weighing in at only 33 pounds. He is about a year old and has now put on some weight and is 49 pounds. He is fully vetted and up to date on all his shots and has a clean bill of health.

His initial pictures indicated he was a collie. There may in fact be some Collie in there, but there are some other breeds in there also.

At his first wellness check, the vet checked blood work and did a thorough exam putting his age at about 11 months old. He was basically healthy, just painfully emaciated.  He had no parasites, was heartworm negative, and was extremely cooperative and friendly during his vet visit.

He is long, Lean, and athletic.

He is mostly white and cream color with a big fluffy tail, alert ears, and beautiful brown eyes. He does not seem to have any hearing or vision issues whatsoever.  He plays rough like a puppy but he is good with small dogs and big dogs alike.  He has a very loud bark and will howl when he's ready to get out of the crate, which is usually about 10 minutes after we put him in one.

He is learning how to walk on a leash better - he pulls a bit - And he will walk on a harness or with a regular collar.  He sleeps through the night and has been well behaved when his fosters are away at work.

Coopers  has done well with the turtles in the yard, he loves toys and is learning to play ball, he loves riding in the car and having new adventures. Even as a youngster, and fosters report no accidents of any kind in the house since he arrived and he learned how to use the dog door in 10 seconds, so he probably had one wherever he lived before.

The only issue We are working on is encouraging Cooper to be a little bit more cat friendly. He will chase them if they run so

he may be best suited for a home without cats or other small animals.

We have introduced him to horses and although he barked and was curious, he quickly lost interest.

He's doing better on recall and is friendly to every single human he has met.  He learns quickly from other dogs, but is still a playful puppy at heart.

Cooper is house broken, loves attention, sleeps quietly through the night, gets along with other dogs and people, loves his dog bed, and would thrive with daily walks, hikes, play routine and other activities
