These collies or shelties have just arrived in SWCSR. Each will be vetted and fostered until SWCSR knows enough about them to write a bio. That process can take a few weeks. Then they will move to the Collies and Shelties Needing Homes page. So click on this link to see if the collie or sheltie you last saw on this page is now ready for adoption.

Sex: Female
Color: Sable and White
Age: 12
Preliminary Bio: Daisy does not seem like she is on “death’s door” although she has questionable vision and hearing. She was able to navigate around her foster's back yard pretty easily and can find her way back in. For more information about Daisy, please contact Bill at bkferrell@cox.net

Sex: Male
Color: Sable and White
Age: 5
Bio: Toby is very sweet, rides great in a car, is very affectionate, is very good with other dogs, walks on a leash, and enjoys being brushed. He appears to be housebroken. He is easy to handle, did not mind being lifted or carried, and quickly settled in with the foster family. He knows how to use a doggie door. He is very bonded with Little Man. It would be nice if the two shelties could be adopted together. For more information about Toby, please contact Kathy at katwallis1@msn.com

Sex: Male
Color: Sable and White
Age: 12+
Bio: Little Man's owners had current vet care on this dog until 2014 when owner became ill. He was in the home with a family member until a little over a week ago. At that point, they ended up abandoned due to no fault of their own. Other rescuers in Roswell and helpers from the church contacted us to assist with the two shelties, Little Man and Toby.

Littleman is very sweet, but he has trouble with his vision and hearing. He has some arthritis and has a current pain medication prescription to assist him with mobility. He is easy to handle, appears to be housebroken, is good with other dogs, and loves attention. He seems to rely a great deal on the younger dog, Toby, that came in with him. For more information about Little Man, please contact Kathy at katwallis1@msn.com

Sex: Male
Color: Blue Merle
Age: 2 1/2
Bio: Meet Ragnar our most recent sheltie into rescue. Ragnar is a tiny guy weighing only about 14 pounds. He seems to be always on the move and doesn’t stay in the same spot very long. He reportedly had a disruptive impact on his former family with undue protectiveness, barking, and not doing well with younger kids, dogs, or the resident cat. So, he does not come to us with the best report. As we get to know Ragnar we will make our own assessments. As it stands now though we think as he settles in he is going to be pretty exciteable and probably on the barky side. We would probably say the safest home would be one without small kids.
He does need to be neutered and we have a neuter scheduled. For more information about Ragnar, please contact Bill at bkferrell@cox.net
